Focal is simplifying the fundraising journey for startups. Set up by Principal’s of DMG and Episode 1 and in partnership with HSBC Innovation banking, the venture capital firm and demo day offers a fresh approach to early-stage funding. Reimagining the fundraising ecosystem, we named, branded and built the digital platform to hero their ability to optimise a start-up's round through the power of connectivity.
Our visual identity system celebrates the power of connection. We used simple shapes as interactive focal points to represent the essence of their network, highlighting the hub of people, ideas and potential.
Heroing unique moments of connection, our graphic language brings the fundraising process to life with a sense of pace and optimism, highlighting the collective potential of a network and collaboration.
The brand had to feel modern and dynamic to reflect the platform’s fresh approach to funding. With innovation and connection at the core of Focal’s vision for the future, our flexible visual system allowed us to create an equal playing field for both founders and funders. Bold elements are balanced with a sense of transparency and trust, echoing the vision of the brand to bring simplicity and efficiency to the fundraising process.
